Happen Interactive is an art technology solutions company. We specialize in the design and fabrication of interactive experiences leveraging sensors, light, sound, computers, electronics and code. We are based in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Along with creating our own works we empower people to create engaging interactive experiences. We have worked with a variety of clients including scientists, visual artists, architects, designers, builders, musicians, festivals, museums and more to collaborate in creating compelling experiences. We enjoy engaging a variety of senses in our creations through modalities including light, sound, tactile and taste creating accessible, learnable public experiences. We often create experiences that involve collaboration and promote the joy of connecting with others.

Andrew Ringler — Founder

Andrew Ringler is an artist, creative technologist, software developer, educator, maker and founder of Happen. He creates interactive public installations that allow participants to create their own novel visual and auditory experiences. Ringler’s work takes inspiration from teaching, learning, creation, science and communication. He has shown work throughout the United States and internationally. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from McGill University and a Master’s of Fine Arts in Design from the Dynamic Media Institute of MassArt.
